Dodge Winston
Biography
Dodge Winston was born in Oakland, CA in 1970. He attended Napa Valley College and Solano Community College accumulating 70 units… then the desire to write full-time struck. Dropping the pursuit of a higher education he wrote voraciously, knocking out screenplays, teleplays, treatments, news articles, and other works of apparent non-interest (at least not interesting to various agents and publishing houses at the time). Unfortunately he wasn’t eating voraciously and took on a career as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.
Now don’t be fooled - there is plenty of writing material to be garnered from a Wastewater Treatment Plant. Getting into the wastewater field, Dodge was surprised to find plant operators, hard-edged, stubble laden men could also be such drama queens, creating chaos in the midst of their testosterone-laced sewing circle. He finds the field to be incredibly unique, filled with personalities that any creative genius would struggle to invent, let alone put up with.
Dodge is married, has two children, is considering getting a dog for the family, and currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. You can find Dodge in one of three places - rehabbing the family house (room by room), working at the plant, or taking advantage of slivers of writing time when all is quiet.
