Dorris Smith
Biography
Dorris E. Smith was born and raised in rural Indiana. She worked as a nanny before marrying husband Charles during WWII. After thirty years of farming with her husband, Dorris began writing about rural Christian life. She enjoyed teaching bible study groups, especially for children, and mastered American sign language so that she could interpret church services for the deaf. A talented quilter and artist, Dorris was always excited to learn new techniques. She passed away in 2007.
