Douglas Marchbanks is a graduate of Heriot-Watt University and of the University of Edinburgh. He teaches at both universities and also has taught at the Open University. His interests include economic renewal.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
A combination of Scotland and England. My economics writing and teaching is designed to use easily understandable Standard English.
When did you first start writing?
Writing educational materials for the use of my students and for commissioned work began more than twenty years ago, but publication worldwide under my own name has been only for the last two or three years.
