Jenny Brockis

Biography

Dr Jenny Brockis is a qualified medical practitioner, writer and engaging public speaker with over thirty years experience in the health industry.

She trained as a medical doctor in the UK and ran her own, successful General Practice in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia for over 12 years.
Jenny has always been fascinated by the brain and understanding human behavior. She is committed to lifelong learning and sharing her expertise with others.

A natural teacher with a strong desire to make a difference, Jenny has embraced using wellness concepts to promote better brain health, which can lead to better memory, improved attention skills, greater understanding and self-awareness for effective communication, emotional regulation and effective leadership. She is currently undertaking further study in the area of neuroleadership with the University of Middlesex.

In her role as a speaker, Jenny provides keynotes, presentations, and workshops. She keeps a blog outlining articles on the latest brain science findings that are relevant to us in our every day lives. She is a regular contributor to the WA Alzheimer's Association Newsletter and has been published in a number of magazines. She has also had a number of guest appearances on local radio and television.

Her message is simple:

It is our lifestyle choices, that puts us most at risk of poorer thinking and cognitive decline. Neuroscience has revealed that every one of us has the ability to improve our brain health. This is because our brain is plastic - we can rewire our brain and literally change the way we think.

Changing the habits of a lifetime is not easy, Jenny provides the tools and strategies and the understanding required to help you to successfully implement your own brain health program and enjoy the benefits of better brain fitness.

Happily married for over 25 years, Jenny lives in Perth, West Australia with her husband, two grown up children, two border terriers and one dog-weary cat.
When not working promoting brain fitness, Jenny enjoys travel, swimming, skiing, good food and the company of her friends and family.
