When Marvin Scott died, his history professor promised his family she would write a book. This book follows her journey through grief on a roller coaster ride through a year of new students, service projects and graduations, interweaving inspirational stories with funny bloopers from history exams. Ultimately, a student exiled in a VA nursing home leads her to find a bright ending to this story.
