Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small town in Maryland. Because of this, I grew up knowing all of my neighbors, and their parents, and their parents. We would play in the streets until it got dark, and do the same thing the next day. A lot of these people or activities influence some characteristics in certain 'innocent' characters (such as Emily in the Alma Cefeira series).
When did you first start writing?
I began writing when I was eight; they were silly little poems that advanced as I got older. When I was twelve, a group of friends and I began writing fanfiction in our own little 'community'. It wasn't until I was fourteen that I started branching out on my own ideas and writing original fiction.

This guide is a blessing to publishers new and experienced. The first time I read this, I was so surprised that I, as technologically challenged as I am, could understand everything. It's well organized and easy to find the information I need to go back for - thank you so much!
