Biography

ED MADDEN teaches at the University of South Carolina. His first book of poetry, Signals, was winner of the South Carolina Poetry Book Prize, selected by Afaa Weaver. His work appears in Best New Poets 2007 and The Book of Irish American Poetry from the Eighteenth Century to the Present. He is also the author of Tiresian Poetics, a study of modernist poetry, and co-editor of Out Loud: The Best of Rainbow Radio, a collection of radio essays from one of the only gay and lesbian radio programs in the South.
