The witty opening put me into the mindset of the main character of this story. When his carefully crafted world is torn apart by events he can barely comprehend, much less control, I found myself being dragged down with him, right to the twist ending.

This second installment of the Heppner's Jumper series is far more enigmatic than Past Jumper, and leaves me wanting more. If it had been written as a stand-alone piece, it would end there, but Heppner has made the bold move of promising more, and that guarantees I will be acquiring the next segment of his larger story soon.
