Tim Mott, Sr

Biography

I am currently a Reformed Theologian and Writer (speculative fiction, science-fiction, military fiction, and theological matters). Current publications on Amazon Kindle eBooks include "Last Chance" and "The Fringe of Society: Exordium," the first SF book of a trilogy.

I am of mixed lineage (Native American Indian), and do not tolerate either racism or race-baiting!!!

It is my life's goal to understand the Scriptures as much as possible, from the reconstructed autographs of the original biblical Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic texts, and then to correlate them to an objective reality through general (natural) and special (Scripture-based) revelation.

I have five college degrees (A.A.S. through Masters) in Electronics Technology/Computer Science, Biochemistry, Technology, Theology, and (again) Theology. I have completed some doctorate studies in Theology, and post-graduate work in Business Management.

I taught Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, and Physics at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE for 4-1/2 years. These sciences fall under the category of "general revelation," constituting God's "Book of Nature." Fundamentally, there is no conflict between the hard sciences (chemistry, physics, cosmology, etc.) and "special revelation" -- the Bible.

As a theologian, it is my task to reconcile the above into a coherent worldview.

I am married with two adult children, an adult step-son, and two step-grandchildren.

I served in the U.S. Army, National Guard, and the Army Reserves (Infantry, Lance Missile Technician [Nuclear], Psychological Warfare, and Firefighting) for nearly 14 years. I took every opportunity possible to advance myself through military schools, averaging two schools per year. I served as a staff member for three years at the Explosives Ordnance Disposal School (Phases II/III -- conventional and nuclear explosives disposal), and was a member of it's Naval Ordnance Station's Emergency Response Team. My last position was as an Operations NCO for an infantry company, where I handled Intelligence matters (up and down the chain of command), War Planning, and breaking down Operations Orders for lower echelons.

My careers have included military service, computer technician, computer store service manager, computer systems engineer, community college instructor, livestock owner/operator (prior to a back disability,) and now a theologian and writer.

My interests range from history, archaeology, language studies, theology, political science, economics, military science, astrophysics, to foreign policy. I FAVOR THE LEGALIZATION OF MEDICINAL MARIJUANA. I love music, tending to lean heavily towards heavy metal, doom, and death metal/thrash and stoner/doom genres.

My hobbies include reading (history, business, international affairs, astronomy, archaeology, politics, science and theology), writing (theology, traveling, and science fiction), and computer games; I particularly love to play mind games, such as chess, puzzles, Mahjong, Lumosity.com, and crosswords. I believe that these activities, along with reading and writing, keep the mind young and sharp.

I love to travel. I have lived in Germany (twice) and Thailand (once) for 8 years, and I have visited several dozens of countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. I have lived in 17 states, and consider Virginia to be my home state; I would like to move to Florida.

I have been trained in ecclesiastical Latin, French, German, some Hebrew, and currently I am studying biblical Greek and Spanish. I am learning to read and write these languages, not to speak them (except for Spanish).
