Emma Jay

Biography

Emma Jay has been writing longer than she'd care to admit, using her endless string of celebrity crushes as inspiration for her heroes. She discovered her husband has way more tolerance for screensavers and hunk-decorated blog posts when she calls them her "heroes." Emma, married 22 years (wed at the age of 8, of course) believes writing romance is like falling in love, over and over again. Creating characters and love stories is an addiction she has no intention of breaking.

What a fun book! So many exciting twists, which kept me turning pages to the wee hours of the morning. And the vampire mythology in this book was so different from everything I've read. Poor Ainsley, swept into this world she doesn't understand by secretive, sexy Delano, but our spunky heroine adjusts well, and falls for this man who's held himself outside of the world for so long. Very hot and VERY romantic!

Cassie is a spunky down-on-her-luck Texas woman. Desperate to move away from her hometown, where she can't do anything right anyway, she decides to start giving home shows for novelty items. You know the kind. The first couple of chapters where she's demonstrating the devices, especially when she's demonstrating in front of a group of septuagenarians, had me laughing out loud. Enter Reed, vice cop, a man who she'd once had a crush on. They begin an affair, her never thinking her home shows are illegal, he never knowing that the woman he's investigating is the woman in his bed. Waiting for him to find out keeps you turning the pages!
