Too open ended for me and I don't mind a little open ending, with something in the story that my imagination can take somewhere. This story lacked enough to seamlessly imagine an ending. If I was making up a good night story for young children, it would be a good framework though! In general, I'm an ardent Bruce Coville story fan.
