Evelyn Cole

Biography

Evelyn Cole has published one textbook for interdisciplinary curriculum, several poems, a few short stories, a series of articles on the power of the subconscious mind called Mind Nudges and five novels: For the Sake of All Others, a story of teen suicide, A Tough Journey, a story about women’s shelters, Gambling for Good Mail, a light satire about a woman addicted to catalogue shopping, Hurricane Love about a judge on trial for murder, and The Underbelly subtitled Dr. Jacquelyn and Mrs. Hyde.

The Underbelly, subtitled Dr. Jacquelyn and Mrs. Hyde is published now and she has just uploaded Hurricane Love, a tale about a euthanasia trial and AIDS and Alzheimer’s in the Eighties. A recent publication is a book of poems called From a Train Window. She taught English for twenty-three years in high school and college. She writes novels and stories because it’s challenging and fun, but writes poetry because she has to. Once in a while, she dangles prepositions.
