As I made my way further into the ceynoté, taking care not to get too far from the visible bubbles hugging the roof which provided my source of air, shafts of greenish light pierced the darkness ahead. I knew these were the sunlight coming through the jungle floor, where surface pools formed along the route of the ancient underground river. - "Where the Jaguar Sleeps"

    Chillingly sp-sp-spoooky... Great collection of weird tales from the pen of Ms. Pendleton. I like it a lot. It is refreshing to see the development of 'hairs bristling on the back of your neck' type of horror writing, rather than the smash and slash that seems to proliferate today's pulp (TV/Movies).
