It's a tease, a temptation and an invitation to read more. Having delayed reading the Channeling Morpheus stories (what, you don't save a guaranteed fun read for a rainy day?), I succumbed this week and of course read Heaven Sent too. HS is a great introduction for those new to JCP's writing and an essential addition for the rest of us. The POVs alternate from Michael to Wild Bill story by story, so if First Person is not something you usually read because you feel it limits scope and understanding, fear not. One thing which particularly strikes me about CM - that (possibly because of the afore-mentioned POV-switching, which is by story, not within each story) there is no doubt that Wild Bill finds Michael irresistible. I've found in many vamp/were/other stories, that it is the vamp/were/other that is the focus, so much so that the other main character becomes a foil rather than having equal status. Not here! Do read Heaven Sent and the rest of this series - and then go and read the PsyCop books.
