Very good book! I enjoyed the storyline although I wish the book was longer. Great job and I will look forward to future books.

Let me just start off by saying I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading the next two books in the series. Angel Evolution was original and gave a unique twist to the angels vs demons storyline.
Taylor and her best friend head off to college and while there meet many new friends. They both end up with new boyfriends. Taylor's boyfriend seems to shine with an inner light while Sam's boyfriend seems to bring darkness with him.
We find out that Taylor is not an ordinary human. She has an inner light that makes her unique compared to the normal human aura. Because of her aura she finds herself and her best friend drawn into the middle of a war between angels and demons.
The characters are well written and the plot keeps you interested and turning the pages. You will want to know what happens next. I would recommend this book. I will be watching this author to see what he comes out with next.

Okay let me just tell you that this book took me by surprise. I did not know what it was about as the summary doesn’t give a whole lot away. I have not read any alien books (that I remember) but if this is how they are I definitely would like to read more books like this. I give this book 5 stars because that is as high as I can go.
Plot – I loved the storyline. It was unique and really drew me in and kept me reading. The first part of the book was a little slower compared to the rest of it because it is introducing you to Blair, her friends and family. From the time they first see something strange until the end of the book there is always something new or another mystery to figure out. They are always going and checking things out when they should just run. This book packs a lot in to a shorter story. I did not want it to end. I also liked how the pieces of the puzzle are slowly put together but then there are more questions to keep you wanting to read to figure it all out.
Characters – The characters in this story are three dimensional with everyday problems. I love that Everett wanted to be an entomologist and had his own bug room. My son was in Entomology in 4-H and I wish we had a storage unit we could have put all of that in also. I feel bad for Blair as she is the youngest in the group and is getting left behind when everyone else goes to college. She is very smart and stubborn and wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Blair’s older brother Andrew also struggles in this story. I liked this that he was going to go to seminary after high school but then ends up rethinking his life’s path.
Ending – The ending left it open for the next installment which I like but now I wish I hadn’t found this book until they were all already out because I am dying to read the next in the series. The next book sounds like it will have even more action, mystery and suspense.
All in all I absolutely loved this book. I can’t wait to read the next in the series Firefly. I would like to know why Blair’s mother and grandparents think they need to hide everything from her instead of just telling her. It makes for a more interesting part of the book but if I was living her life I would be frustrated beyond belief with my brother and Everett as well as my mother and grandparents. The only complaint I can find on this book is that it wasn’t longer.

*received from author for an honest review
I enjoyed the majority of the book but I had a couple problems with parts of it. The problems I had were not so much that I didn't like it I just didn't like the way those parts fit together with the rest of the story. I am going to give this one 3.5 stars.
Ford is the main character in the story and I connected with Ford. I understood why he did what he did in his own twisted way. He couldn't help it but he did not want to slash. You see Ford grow and become a better person in this story, not cured but better. Ford also has home issues. His father has become his "other mother" through surgery and his real mother has gotten in to drugs and made some bad decisions. I did like how this turned out for them and the journey getting there was quite a read. The family had to go through a serial slasher killing other slashers, an alien abduction, and a mirror that seemed to enjoy teaching people a lesson on vanity.
Sidnee is an exorcist. She hears the demons that are trying to possess people at their weakest moments and she can also communicate with them. Sidnee is there to try to save the people from possession. The people closest to her are the ones most in danger of possession so as a result she doesn't get close to many people. I liked Sidnee she also really grows in this story and starts to really grasp her future as an exorcist.
Milo is a police officer at the start of the story who suffers from real nightmares. When he sleeps any injury he receives is with him when he wakes up. He also has to wake up before he is killed in his dreams or he will die for real. I think that him not connecting with people may be the reason why I just didn't like him as much as the other two main characters. He was always looking for an opportunity to be a hero. The situations that he found himself in just felt a little forced and a little unbelievable even in this mad world.
As far as the plot of the story goes this was a very good slasher book (which I have never read one before) but in my opinion it was really good and introduced some new ideas to the slashing lifestyle. However when Milo was introduced I felt like the sci-fi part of the story went off the deep end. The gigantic spiders kind of blindsided me and later on the zombies. They were a good shock factor in this story but it didn't completely work for me. Sidnee the exorcist and Ford's storylines seemed to go together and complement each other well. I also loved Rubble's back story and just his general character through the story. You loved to hate him but later felt a little sorry for him after you hear his story. I will say this though I think Rubble could have his own story.
All in all this was a good book and it takes you on a wild ride. I recommend this book to anyone looking for something different or just looking for an escape from the real world. This town that the characters live in was a very eventful town and I am glad I do not live there. I would like to read the next book in the series.
