I have been an avid photographer since I was a young lad growing up in Northern Michigan. I was taught to be pragmatic since money was tight, and I was taught to be a free thinker to get the most out of life.
I enjoy spending time with my American Bulldogs, teaching others what I know, and exploring nature. I am a man who wears many hats: husband, nurse, grampa, author, dog trainer, photographer and woodworker just to name a few.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend most of my time working as a nurse, working with my American Bulldogs and usually have my camera close at hand. When I get free time I like to go find things to photograph. Photography is like writing short stories with light pixels.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first thing I ever wrote was a poem for my grandmother entitled Silence. I believe I was about eight years old. The first story I ever wrote was a short comedy piece about the time my brother and the neighbor kid went exploring a beaver lodge and discovered a nest of angry hornets.
