  • Gumshoe Granny Investigates: A Bess Bullock Retirement Home Mystery on June 02, 2012

This was a cute coxy mystery. Bess is an ex-policewoman now living in the Honey Hills Retirement home. She solves a variety of non-violent crimes at the home. The crimes are rather simple but it is a quick read. Enjoy
  • Lies Truth, Truth Lies on July 22, 2012

This is a book that could have been so much better if the author had a editor. The premise was good, girl buys old mansion where the owners keep dying and she is next. The author did a good job setting up a multitude of suspects but the writing was just not there.
  • Definitely, Maybe: A Lucy Valentine Short Story on July 26, 2012

I really like the Lucy Valentine series but there was not much to the story. It did not add anything to the series. You can easily skip this short story and just read the next book in the series.
  • Perfectly Matched: A Lucy Valentine Novel on July 29, 2012

I love the series and this book did not disappoint. There is just the right mix of paranormal/mystery/romance. There was a cliffhanger at the end and now I can't wait for the next book in the series. Enjoy

  • Murder in the South of France on Aug. 25, 2012

This was an enjoyable cozy mystery. I found the title to be a misleading howver. Most of the action and murders take place in Atlanta. I also found myself checking the date of the book as there some dated references. I liked the characters and the mystery was good. I shall be reading the next one in the series. Enjoy
  • A Date to Die For on Sep. 01, 2012

I like mystery short stories and I enjoyed this one. I like reading these short stories of new authors before I commit to a longer book. I liked the amateur sleuth and the writing backgrond. This book takes place in Atlanta during a book convention and managed to visit many of the landmarks. The mystery was quick and light. I look foreowrd to reading the other two books in this series. Enjoy
  • A Grave Too Small on Sep. 17, 2012

This gets two stars instead of one star since I liked the story but not the writing. This story would benefit from a good editor. The length does not really work. It should either be longer with more background and explanation or shorter and tighter. Red herrings are fine in traditional mysteries but they do not work in ghost stories. If you introduce something you should explain it. Although you find out the mystery at the end it does not make sense and nothing else was explained. Another pet peeve of mine is authors that do not count. If you mention something 3 times do go back and change it to 2 times. This story could have packed more scares but unfortunately the writing did not do justice to the story
  • The Boddy in the Snowbank on Nov. 22, 2012

  • Unfamous on Dec. 10, 2012

I had a hard time getting into this book but once I got past the first 30 pages I had a hard time putting it down and read it straight through. Like the characters I sometimes had a hard time deciding what was real and what was not. The mystery was interesting and the twist ending was fun. Enjoy
  • The Lola Cruz Christmas Story on Dec. 11, 2012

A cute short Christmas Story. Not much of a mystery. This story takes place before Lola has received her PI license. Read it if you enjoy the Lola Cruz mysteries. Enjoy

I found this to be an interesting short story. A student doing research on Jack the Ripper becomes a little too involved in his subject. Enjoy
  • Where's Hansel and Gretel's Gingerbread House?: A Gabby Grimm Fairy Tale Mystery #2 on Jan. 02, 2013

I was really pleasantly surprise by this book. I had not read #1 but I did not feel lost reading this one first. I have purchased the first one so I will be reading it. This mystery takes place during Christmas but can be read any time of the year. I liked the small town Vermont even though a lot of the action takes place in NYC. The main character is a deputy but travels to NYC to help her cousin. The characters were a lot of fun and the mystery was good with a twist at the end. Enjoy

  • Born In 1924 My Granny's Journal on Jan. 06, 2013

I was hoping for a little more from this story. This is mostly who is who than how it was growing up during the depression in Kentucky. This is really of interest to relatives than the general public.
  • About A Girl on Jan. 15, 2013

This was an interesting little story. Not sure if I quite understood it all and it does have some twists and turns. It is a quick read and enjoyable.
  • Pearls of Deception (A Short Story and Excerpts) on Feb. 15, 2013

I agree that it was too short. I also did not understand why someone who is so smart to commit what they feel would be a perfect crime would make such a dumb mistake. It was OK and was a quick read.
  • Living and Dying in the Hamptons on March 08, 2013

This free ebook was a very pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the mystery and the characters. It is a combination cozy mystery with a little paranormal added in. • Sleeping in Snow with Bears on March 19, 2013

I really liked this story. This is long novel that follows two women friends and one boyfriend from college through the years. Their journey takes us through prison, Brazil, Hollywood and an Indian Reservation. The book does have some sad moments but it also made me laugh out loud. I really liked the beginning of the book and the ending but some of The Indian Reservation portion dragged for me. Enjoy.
  • Gilda's Locket on April 06, 2013

I enjoyed this short story. The locket is an interesting character and I enjoyed the twist at the end. The story is a rather sad one but a well written one. Enjoy
  • Bootsy Katz Case of the Bitch Vs Witch on April 08, 2013

This ebook needs a lot of editing. There are a lot of grammar errors and the story is all over the place. There is not a lot of mystery and I do not know who the bitch or witch were. The grammar error did make this hard to read and finish.
  • The Staircase Bride on April 09, 2013

This story is too short and what is there does not make a lot sense. If the story is expanded and holes filled in it might be an interesting short story.
  • Dani Hayward, P.I.: The Joshua Franklin File on April 15, 2013

I was pleasantly surprised by this mystery short story. The main character was interesting. I look foreword to reading more about her and finding out about her background. The characters and the mystery made sense. Enjoy this quick and wonderful read.

  • Life on the Edge on June 01, 2013

This romance started out slowly for me. I really was not warming up to the characters and I wondered how the author was going fill so many pages. It did really capture my interest until the last 100 pages. This is a light romance and very chaste and clean and suitable for all readers. Enjoy
  • Ybor Noir - A Frank Geddy Short on July 19, 2013

This is a quick read. The mystery was OK but there was not much to it. Not a lot of background just a quick light read. Enjoy
  • Murder and Mischief in the Hamptons on Aug. 02, 2013

This is a fun cozy mystery but it was not as good as the first one. Make sure you read these in order since she talks about the murder in the first book in this one. It takes a while for the murder and mystery to get going in this book. The characters and the setting are still a lot of fun and I look foreword to reading the next one. Enjoy
  • A Cup of Cozy on Dec. 18, 2013

I was disappointed by this collection. These were more like sermons than mysteries. The stories are short without a lot of mystery. Most of this book is first chapters of their longer works. The best thing about this collection is that it was free and they were short so it was not a lot of time wasted.
  • Temporarily Away on June 09, 2014
