I'm still firmly Team Sylvan here. Absolutely, one billionty percent. He's just my special favourite and nobody else has come close - okay, maybe Deep came close, but no cigar... and Xairn too, but not as close as Deep. What? I like angsty, tortured dudes okay? I enjoyed this one though. I didn't think I would because we went into it with a vague passing knowledge of Merrick and it wasn't a very erm... enticing introduction to him - and frankly, Elise was a bit of a moron. I mean seriously? Chasing allthefuck over hells half acre TWICE after a glorified cartoon pony? IN YO' UNDIES?! And all the whining and crying and carrying on was getting old - pick a direction and stick with it woman, I like how it was handled in (SHOCKER) Sylvan and Sophie's story better. Also, serious lack of Baird, Deep and Lock in this one. I find I missed them - even the passing scenes with Sylvan were great, so little instances of those three would've been faboosh. But overall it was interesting enough to keep my attention (though where was all the smut in this one???) and it's definitely leading up to some interesting sounding sequels. I just adore this series. I swear Evangeline Anderson just can do no wrong with it as far as I'm concerned (unless Sylvan gets offed, in which case, friends off yo'). Is it completely insane that I think I'm going to be mega-drawn to Draven? Fuhreak is H-O-T shit. And sarcastic. I'm a sucker for sarcasm, yes I am. He needs an enchanting little human girl to show him the error of his ways, that's for damned sure. I'm assuming Lissa and Saber are up next, YAY! She's a cutie pie and he's already hot shit, so I cannot wait. Another awesome instalment, can't wait for (ohmigosh) number seven!
