Luke Campen is a writer of dark and thought-provoking fiction for both prose and film. His love of storytelling began with the science fiction and horror books, television shows, and films he loved, which grew into a love of writing. His journey as a professional writer began with short story writing, where Luke learned the ropes through practice, having had over half a dozen short stories published in magazines. From there, Luke branched out into both novel and writing for film, the latter of which has garnered him two awards for short horror and science fiction scripts, as well as a short film co-authored with his brother Jesse and which was directed by a MTV award-winning director. The feature length version of that short, also written along with his brother, is currently in production.
In an effort to expand his knowledge of screenwriting, Luke completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing for the Entertainment Industry at Full Sail University, Winter Park, Florida where he was recognized for his writing excellence, receiving two Course Director Awards.
