Brian James

Biography

On completion of my fictional memoir, Headstone, in the spring of 2011, I decided to continue to keep some distance between myself and the locale in the book known as “The Hill”. Granted that any given names, places, and events were used fictitiously in most chapters, if certain circumstances and characters were deemed ever to be true to life, who knows when a crime humorist could become “dead meat”!

The two main antagonists in Headstone were the crews in Providence, RI and Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity, Inc. My late father and I meant no disrespect to anyone or any place. However, an ounce of caution can be worth a pound of flesh, and that goes double if it’s my ample, fleshy derrière. Yet, through it all, when I had doubts about someone, I put on black-rimmed glasses with large nose and ‘stache. Then I quietly melted into the crowd.

Brian James lives on Cape Cod and in Florida and soon places unknown.

Brian James’s sequel to his first book, HEADSTONE, answers most questions about the infamous heist. However, it also opens up so many more possibilities. What was actually taken from the trusting depositors in the Fourth of July holiday weekend vault burglary of the early ‘80s was known only to the perpetrators, and few of them would have knowledge of what ultimately happened to their fortune!
