Often wondering if, in a past life, she lived on a Greek island, Helen has traveled for the past twenty years throughout Greece. She has spent much of this time in villages studying customs, and enjoying the day-to-day life of the people. She says she’s been looking for her special place, but in the meantime has gathered experiences, images, indulgences, and friends.
Helen's travel writing includes, "Paros", published in Lonely Planet’s "Rite of Passage - Tales of Backpacking Round Europe", P.168, (2003), a photo/para "postcard" of Israel in "The Asia Book", (2008) P.216, and her latest travel piece on Greece - "Ancient Charms for the Young-at-heart which appeared in the Sunday News Limited newspapers in Australia, (2011)". Earlier, Helen has written an eBook called Greece - Gleeful Glimpses.
Her memoir "Make Mine A Moussaka" is her most recent work: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/136266

Knowing that it is always a problem when you want to visit a foreign country but don’t know a lot about it and how it works:
Helen recommends her eBook - "GREECE - 100 Travel Tips": https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/126404
She also runs a service for travelers planning a holiday in Greece. She finds you can Google until the cows come home, but never quite sort out in your mind exactly what you want, without a little help. Having traveled the Mainland, the Peloponnese, the Ionian Islands, the Cyclades Islands, Crete, and the Dodecanese, and having learned the way things tick, she knows the best archaeological sites, the most interesting islands, the best places for R&R, relatively unknown spots, excellent beaches, good hikes, and can suggest best Budget accommodations or top-of-the-range resorts.
