I don't usually read 'paranormal' romance, but have been trying to expand my reading base and this caught my eye. For $1 I figured it was worth it, even if I didn't enjoy it.
Well I did, hugely.
It starts with the main character, Cade, waking up in a hotel room not remembering anything. At all. The readers aren't told anything about his past until Cade discovers it himself. I totally love the way this it done, it drags you into the story and keeps you interested as you want to find out how and why he got there.
Even when you find out how and why, more things are thrown in to keep the suspense, and keep you going to the end.
Having read more about Kait Nolan, I've discovered this is first in a series - I can't wait for the next instalment.
I loved this so much I ate it up in one sitting. The characters were believable and the tension towards the end was great - I was on the edge of my seat. I'd recommend this to anyone, it's a nice heart-warming tale.
