Vivienne Diane Neal

Born in 1946, Vivienne Diane Neal is a writer, blogger, and author of seven books and three very short stories. She is a storyteller with a wicked sense of humor, has been writing articles for over thirty years and started penning fictional short stories in 2007. Vivienne gets her story and article ideas from observing people, places, and things and watching true TV court cases and talk shows.

She has written seven books and three very short stories. Her latest book titled Deception in Plain Sight.

Her book, Retribution Unleashed was #66 of Urban Books, Authors, & Writers of America’s Top 100 Books of 2013

Now, semi-retired, she continues to write articles on love, romance, relationships, and other topics of interest on her One World Singles Blog, which is one of the winners of The 2017 Black Pearls Literary Excellence Awards.

  What a great story. Fiona McGier proves that love can transcend no matter what a person’s background or status is. Even if someone has faced an unpleasant event in his or her life, true love will always be the best remedy. The author expresses this in her writing.
  
• Kiss My Lips ~ A Steamy Romance on Dec. 29, 2014
  
  From beginning to end, this is a beautiful narrative. Protagonists Lorna Ibe and Logan Blake are planning to get married but interferences from a few family members may thwart that event. Logan is a take-charge man who refuses to let others dictate whom he should love or marry. Lorna is on bad terms with her father, who demands that the ceremony takes place in Nigeria. Filled with steamy passion, sensuality and yearning, the characters are well defined, humorous, colorful and sometimes crafty. The author does an excellent job at exploring external influences, mistrust, protectiveness, anger and resentments facing the couple and the lengths that people will go through to stop a union from happening. But as the plot thickens, an unexpected incident comes into play that may prevent Lorna and Logan from tying the knot. I enjoyed reading this story, which delves into the true meaning of commitment, love and devotion

  A Brilliantly Written Romance Story This saga takes place during the late 1400s in Igodomigodo, an ancient city in Nigeria where men rule and women are beholden to the statutes of the land, a time where tradition, religion, combat, loyalty, principles, romance, love, and passion define a nation. But when Uvbi, a true feminist, is ordered by her authoritarian father to marry a ruthless warrior, she disobeys his demands and flees. When she crosses paths with Nagudia, a humble craftsman and warrior, it sets the backdrop for absorbing characters with outer and inner conflicts, secrets, greed, jealousy, hate, sibling rivalry, and scandal. The plot is packed with cliff-hanging scenarios. When a mutual attraction between Uvbi and Nagudia begins to grow, the story takes a surprising turn, with an ending that will leave you reeling. This story is relevant today with the mounting expectations and changing roles of women in a world that is still dominated by men. The author provides the reader with a different view of Africa, which is rarely seen in American historical writing. Congratulations on a thoroughly researched narrative.

  A Tour de Force What a fantastic read, a follow-up to Royal Cowries. It is a love story with a paranormal twist, filled with secrets, deception, betrayal, mistrust and reprisal. Osula, a caring, and compassionate Prince of the Igidan Empire, encounters Obigho, an enigmatic and chameleon-like woman who conceals her deadly intentions. While the prince is enchanted with her, she will set out to accomplish her malevolent assignment, but unexpected undertakings will slowly alter her thoughts about the Prince, building up to a surprise ending. Whether the well-defined characters are good, bad or uncaring, the author continuously incorporates strong, proactive, and opinionated women into her narratives.
  
• The incidental Case of Olivia Dansfield on March 15, 2018
  
  I just read The Incidental Case of Olivia Dansfield and loved it. I especially enjoyed the scene with the pistachio nuts. Layla is quite amusing. I am hoping the author will do a sequel to this story and have Adair meet an untimely death, and the blame placed on Olivia Dansfield.
