Biography

James R. Nelson was born and raised in Michigan's wild and beautiful Upper Peninsula which serves as the setting for his mystery novels. He loves music and has played drums in various classic rock and roll bands for much of his life. He was a founding member of the famous Upper Michigan band, The Prophets of Doom.

From one extreme to another, James now lives on a beautiful tropical cove along Florida's Indian River, where he can watch dolphins and manatees as he works on his 4th mystery novel.
