Andrew Prendergast

Biography

The author, Andrew Prendergast, is English, born and raised in Manchester, England. After working in the Middle East as a young adult he returned to England to study Arabic, as a mature student, at the University of Manchester. He has worked and traveled extensively in Arabic-speaking countries in the Gulf region since 1979. He has 14 years experience in Saudi Arabia working in administration and recruitment, plus 10 years in Iraq as an interpreter, contractor and in business. He holds two post-graduate degrees in Middle East Studies and Applied Translation Studies in Middle Eastern Language (Arabic), both from the University of Exeter, England.

He lives in Exeter, where he runs a small business selling dual language safety products and training aids to oil and construction companies in the Middle East.
