Many people are well aware of Islam’s ruling with regard to masturbation and are convinced of its unlawfulness. However, there exists a deficiency in understanding the way to treat this chronic disease-the knowledge to free oneself from the captivity of this defiant desire and the means by which will help in subjugating the Nafs (Carnal Desires) in order to free oneself from this habit.
Hadhrat Jibra’eel A.S. asked Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) “What is Ihsaan?” Thereupon he replied: “It is that you worship Allah as if you see Him and if you do not see Him, He certainly sees you”.Tariqat is another name for Ihsaan or the way of acquiring the quality of Ihsaan. This is what is called Sufism (Tasawwuf) or good conduct (Sulook).
The Qur’aan reminds us time and again that this universe has been created temporarily and at an appointed time it will surely be annihilated, “Verily Allah Alone has the knowledge of the Hour” (Qur’aan). The Qur’aan and the hadeeth have informed us about various signs which will occur prior to Qiyamah and which will be indicative of the closeness of the event.
When some sorrow and grief befalls someone, then it is sunnat to go to him and pay condolences, which is called “Ta’ziah” meaning to give comfort and because this is sunnat, through it’s blessings Allah blesses the grieved hearts with the medicine of comfort and contentment.
