Nice hook at the beginning, clever idea (would make a great Twilight Zone episode if developed further). However, the tenses changed, sometimes within a sentence. Also (SPOILER ALERT), couldn't figure out how his paper went from mysteriously missing to readable at the end. With some work this could be a really good short story, but it comes across a bit like the first draft of a 7th grade writing assignment.

Really enjoyed the story as a whole. Hooked straight away into the characters and storylines. Found the style easy to read, very visual and engaging. A bit disappointed in the ending, however. I'd definitely read Kemppainen again.
