About the Author
Jackson Tendai Matimba is a Zimbabwean poet, born and raised in Nyatate, a rural village of the Manicaland Province. Born in 1978, he was a very quiet and reserved child who loved to be told stories. After listening to all the traditional stories and folklore that his grandparents were always eager to recite over and again, he became aware that there were more new stories in the books once he began to go to school. Since then, he started to get refuge in reading and writing. His poetry originates from the roots of his early readings, when his art of imagination was first awakened.
