Thank you for sharing your experiences. I am sure it will help some of us avoid the pitfalls you describe. I am writing a series of novels that I probably will post on Smashwords and was encouraged because I seem to be doing some things right: Googling free advice from how to write websites, doing an intense review of English grammar in preparation for self-editing, and planning to publish the entire series at one time rather than one book at a time. You have given me much to think about. Thank you again.
