“Dust” is a fantasized love story/tragedy drawn from real people and true events in my life at the time, having just gone through an excruciating break-up. Some parts still hold truth, while others are entirely imaginary. Sexually deviant, hopelessly romantic. Such contrasts.
One, Two, & Three    by Jayson Kerrick
Price: $2.69 USD. 16640 words. Published on August 19, 2010. Fiction.

Pathologically taboo narratives tease obsession, lust, and heart-breaking despair from the intensity of a madman. With a cast of detached sociopaths & pitifully luckless masochists, driven by dark desires and insatiable lusts, Kerrick perversely forces us to face the darkness within ourselves. One, Two, & Three is a sadistic, visceral, and unforgettable must-read.

I was enjoying the story, even with the continual political jabs, which admittedly did date it considerably, but then... it climaxed and ended a'la "The Lady or the Tiger?" Very disappointing. It felt contrived, like the whole story had been a waste of my energy reading it. Too bad, I really enjoyed it up until the "end."
