J Dean

Biography

"Taking fantasy in a completely unique direction."

This is what J. Dean intends to do with the Vein series. Instead of following the tried and true methods and paths of familiar fantasy mythos, he created an original world for an epic story. From his Michigan residence, he captures the fantasy world of the Vein (and other stories) and imprisons them upon paper, until the day when the words are set free by the imagination of those willing to read them. The Vein series is J. Dean's first venture into serious writing, and he hopes that you will join him on the twists and turns of this ride that is part excitement, part drama, part terror, and all adventure.

The story showed promise, and had a compelling plot, but also left behind a sort of incompleteness to it. Would have liked to have seen a better resolution at the end. That being said, I liked the general premise. Hope to see more from this author.
  • The Chamber on Jan. 26, 2012

A very good short story. I would have liked to have seen the author slow the pace a little bit in order to introduce some more tension, but overall it was worth the read.
  • Indoors on April 18, 2012

Clever story. Liked the painting motif.
  • Stowaway on April 19, 2012

A good topic and good story, but I would have liked to have seen more tension via stretching the story to be a little bit longer. Hope to see more from this author.
  • Toilet Tom: A Short Story on June 30, 2012

  • The Long Afternoon on Feb. 21, 2013

A very enjoyable read! The description and detail were well-balanced with the story's pace, and kept my interest right up to the end! Definitely worth taking the time to check this one out! I hope Ms. Farmer puts out more stories like this!
