Smashwords Interview

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The Wonderful Flight to the Mushroom Planet! I was in first grade and it was about a boy who saved the mushroom planet, whose people were dying from lack of sulfur. He returned with his hen, which laid eggs (containing sulfur) and saved the mushroom people. Science fiction for beginning readers, I guess. I wrote Little Smarties Comics, which is six funny stories with the theme: Critical thinking for Beginning Readers-because contrary to popular opinion, little kids can think before they can read well.
What do you read for pleasure?
Philosophy, history, science, biographies, archaeology...
And I find humor in all of them.

Christian Zionism, or the unconditional support for everything Israel, is a movement passionately followed by about 30 million Americans. The author was one of them, but has come to believe after years of study that they are being deceived for political purposes and worse, that they are partly responsible for morally reprehensible acts contrary to Christianity.
