Jenn Carpenter has always believed that a good story writes itself. Urged into writing by her own speeding thoughts as a child, Jenn put her writing career on hold for over a decade to raise a family. She blew the dust off her keyboard the day her husband deployed to Iraq in 2011, inspired by the beautiful tragedy of sending a loved one off to war. In addition to creating the One Army Wife's Tale blog that preceded the book, Jenn wrote for the Fort Hood Army Wives website and now contributes regularly to the Army Wife Network’s “Loving a Soldier” blog.
With four sons between the ages of 5 and 14, family is first for the Carpenters. When she’s not working her day job, writing, or playing chauffeur to the boys due to their many extra-curricular activities, Jenn is quenching her newfound thirst for all things antique and funky, placing her ever-stylish twist on all her new-found treasures.
Her first-hand account of life as the wife of a deployed soldier, One Army Wife's Tale is Jenn's first published work. Hardwood Floors is her first novel.
