Married since the age of seventeen, I am a mother of three with a very simple life. Between work and the kids sports, I like to read and go to the movies. I have always enjoyed writing, but never fully embraced it until two years ago. With notebooks filled with ideas I decided to challenge myself. Gray Storm started out as a goal of mine, and became a lesson, not only for myself, but for my children as well. If you truly believe in something than you must work hard to make it happen. My children watched me struggle between work and my writting, but I never gave up. I started writting Gray Storm two years ago, and after countless revisions I'm happy to say I have finally completed book one.

Cara and Kirsta were born in two different realms, and two different times. Kirsta, a fey, lived and died in the human realm, while Cara, a daughter of the Danu, was brought up in the otherworld. A timeless realm were you can live forever. Brought together by the power of an ancient mystical stone, the two must learn to work together in order to face a common darkness that threatens both realms
I normally don't give reviews for the simple fact that once I start I know I'll give too much away. So, I'm going to keep it simple. I gave this book a five star rating because of how Elizabeth drew me in. She kept my interest and I wanted to know what would happen next. I also liked the fact that it wasn't about some teenage girl and her overly dramatic life. There just too many of those tpye of stories now a days. I also liked how she didn't give to much away at the beginning. I've read a few indie books that did not leave anything to the imagination, and that is such a downer. I love to read and I love for the story to build. Let me get to know the charater and decide if I like him or her. With secrets I enjoyed learning about the characters and I wasn't bored, nor was I disappointed. I truly enjoyed this book and will definitely read the follow up, Choices.
I have to say that I found this story very entertaining. I have been growing bored with the whole teen supernatural drama that plagues the market. It was nice to read something that kept adults in mind. Not that this story would not appeal to young readers, I have no doubt that they would be easily drawn into the story. The author did an awesome job with the storyline. Everything flowed smoothly, with the right pace so you could really learn the characters and fall in love with them. There is a love story, but it doesn't overshadow the real problems that the charcters have to face. The main character is strong, even when she just wants to fall apart with the loss of those she loves. Her descions to help her friends lead her into trouble, but she never backs down. Always ready to prove that she is not weak and will do anything for her friends, she swallows her prejudice to follow her enemy for the answer that will help her people and prevent war. The ending was perfect. It allowed some closure with the right amount of questions to keep you wondering what will happen next.
I have to admit, I have pushed away vimpire books do to the lack of creativity, but I was pleased with this one. I totally recommend this book. You will not be dissappointed.
For Tormented to be the authors first book, she did a wonderful job and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
