John L. Owens and his family were full-time missionaries to the former USSR in the early 90’s where he served as Academic Dean of a Bible & Pastoral training school helping to equip nationals. He has received degrees from F.S.U. and Luther Rice Seminary and has served as a U.S. Coast Guard officer, pastor, teacher, and community organizer with Worldwide Pictures. He is currently a volunteer chaplain with Transport for Christ and enjoys writing, both as a copywriter within his own agency and freelance. His home is in Coastal Georgia, USA, where he remains active as a teacher and writer, with two published novels - The Ninth Generation - Anomaly - and a non-fiction book, Positioned for Victory.
