I really enjoyed this book, and although it reads like someone's role playing game session at times, I found the setting and characters very intriguing and colorful - especially the chief protagonist Nergal the half-orc. The author does a great job of conveying the mind and motivations of the half-orc, and I found myself laughing out loud at times at his single minded quest for food or to satisfy his other base desires. If you're a gamer, this would be a great read to get into the mindset of a half-orc barbarian. I hope to see further adventures featuring Nergal and his exploits. J. Salazar
