Variously described as a crime author, Brit Grit writer — and even 'the new queen of urban noir' — Julie's short stories have been printed in respected publications such as Bullet, Out of the Gutter and Blink Ink, and online at such venues as A Twist of Noir, Thrillers Killers & Chillers, Powder Burn Flash, Pulp Metal, At the Bijou and Darkest Before the Dawn.

In 2011, the publication of Julie's first short story collection, Gone Bad, and her first novel, Convictions, was met with acclaim from readers and reviewers in the UK, the United States, Europe and beyond.

October 2011 sees the publication of Julie's latest novel, Heartbreaker — the story of a rock band, from playing down-and-dirty pubs and clubs in the sixties, through the excesses of seventies stadium rock, to eighties meltdown. Of course, being written by Julie Morrigan, the tale will also include love and hate, trust and betrayal, guilt, tragedy and death. It's sure to be quite the ride.
