John Van Stry

Biography

I have always loved to read and to write stories; science fiction, fantasy, paranormal suspense, I enjoy all of it. Not all of my stories are in the same genre or even the same 'world', and I always have more than one project in the works, so it's never easy to predict which story will be finished next. Sometimes it depends on real life inspiration, other times just on a moment's inspiration. So if you're not sure if you'll like it, download the free sample and give it a try, I won't mind - promise!

As for me, well I've had a very varied life.
I grew up in New York, on Long Island. I went to school to become an Engineer, then joined the Air Force.
After that I worked first in Robotics, then in Aerospace as a Flight Test Engineer. I moved into the medical fields, then into more Technical markets working for a number of high tech companies where I became a Contractor.
I used to own, raise, and train big cats. I love motorcycles and old cars. I'm a pilot and former martial arts instructor. I'm a fan of the Reno Air Races.
Then there's the stuff I'm not supposed to talk about, but that's another story.
I've seen a lot of interesting stuff go by, met a lot of interesting, wonderful, strange, or sometimes just psychotic people. I've had the opportunity to work on some truly game changing technologies. And while I've had some very bad things happen to me in my life, I've never let it stop me.

Keep smiling.

This was a well written and enjoyable story. I enjoyed the characters, the problems that our Hero and Heroine both faced, and the way they came to terms with their problems and each other. (I'm trying not to put any spoilers in here). It was definitely worth the money, and was an enjoyable read.

A full little short story with an interesting twist at the end.
