When Nazis from space launch an attack on New York City, Kent, a newsman with wartime experience, and an unlikely army has to fight to save the world. Not everything is as it seems in this two fisted tale of heart stopping, pulp style adventure.
Shadow of the Past was a book that I greatly enjoyed. The plot sucks you in and it doesn’t let you go. The main character, Mark, is extremely likeable and relatable. You want all of the best in the world for him even though you know that things will only get a lot worse before they get better. I can’t remember the last time that I was this emotionally invested in a character. Shadow of the Past will make you laugh and then completely creep you out a page or two later. At the end of the day this book is an easy read and a fun ride. Cleveland wrote an impressive debut novel and I’m looking forward to see what he does next.
