- Tatted On My Neck
on Aug. 16, 2011
Get ready for a Love hate read! Tatted will have you loving to hate some of the character and hating to love the others. It was a very broad wide open look into the life of teenagers, how they speak, think and act. Many of the misconceptions they share about each other and how truly hard it is to clear your name when everyone around you is determined to dirty it up. Chantal, Shalonda, Chris, Tahir and Chantal's parents will immediately draw a reaction from you towards them, but as you read on you may find yourself switching teams.
In the end, this novel had me pressing the next button on my kindle, wishing i had bought the actual book so i could cheat and read ahead.
Tatted on My Neck is a great read that you wont be disappointed in.

Can you say a lot to read! There is so much going on in this book you are sure to NOT get bored at all. Pay attention so you don't miss one tasty tidbit! These friends have got secrets, attitudes and desires coming out of every part of them and enough going on between them for a few more books.Between the hair salon gossip, the dirty little set ups, and the unspoken innuendos, there is never a dull moment.Damaysha was like off the hook and was by far my fav to read about. Seeing that im new to VA, i can't wait to find out how much of the places she mentioned are real or fictional!@This was a different type of read for me, and though reading about 5 people with SO much going on, was sometimes over whelming for me, i can say i thoroughly liked reading every bit of it! I couldn't put down.Great job Latisha!

WONDERFUL READ LOVED IT!!!
I was glad she made it avail for free here. I own it from amazon. But now i can add my review here as well.
Talk about an intriguing story...THIS WAS MY 1ST KINDLE PURCHASE BACK IN FEBRUARY 2011... Unfortunately I went on a kindle spree and just didnt get back to reading this book now. BIG MISTAKE! 2 tears had me and never let me go. Simone, Andre, Kevin, Rhonda, and all the other characters were right were they needed to be. I'm not sure if i'd categorize this book as a hip hop novel as she did (not sure what that is:) but it was definitely a great read.
Simone's mother was a mess. I was so heated that people so easily believed the things she told them. I related to Simone's relationship with her on a personal level, and when she allowed her mother to babysit her daughter, i was screaming NOOOOO, i saw what was coming b4 it came. When Andre then suggested she allow her to do it again i was like really are you stupid or what? I was surprised Angela just dropped the issue and allow things to return to normal so easily and nothing ever came of her deception, i think of all things i would have really liked to have seen her get some type of just rewards for the manipulation and lies she told.
When the final chapter got going you kinda have an idea of whats coming, but it still tore at my heart strings. Not as bad as when Kevin poured his heart out to Simone, boy was i a babbling baby at that moment...
Awesome read can't wait to get another Tear, in fact im going to grab it now!
