K.J. Burkhardt

Hi everyone,

I have been writing stories ever since I was a kid (no not erotic ones). It was only recently that I discovered the ability, through this site among others, to publish my written works. I have other non-erotic stories that I'm working on, but those will be full blown novels and as such take time to write. I have a full time daily job and a family, so my writing time is limited. Writing is a hobby and secondary to my real job and family.

While I don't claim to be some brilliant author, I feel that my works are good enough to list. I strive to edit my work with a fine tooth comb, but no one is perfect, and the occasional word may slip through from time to time. If I find something after publishing, I replace and update the work, so the best version is available. I'm also not listing my stories to make a quick buck either. Most are listed at the minimum ($.99) allowed, and I will only list books at $2.99 if there is a substantial story involved.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I did writing them. If you would like to send me a personal message, I can be reached at (harbinger2046@yahoo.com). This email address has been set up specifically for you to contact me, and I will try and check it as often as possible. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy the tales from my imagination.

Smashwords Interview

What are you working on next?
I'm currently working on a short story involving a guy and his childhood friend who happens to be a girl. While never becoming romantically involved themselves, she convinces him to join her in a yoga class to clear his mind from a recent and painful breakup with another girl. What neither of them know is that the class she signs him up for is a risque and erotic 'couples yoga', and soon one thing leads to another.

What will I be working on after that? That's tough to say. I'd like to finish 'The Sextacular Adventures of Amazing Girl: Episode 4'. It's the last part of that storyline and I've put it off for way too long. But when an idea comes to me like the one above, I can't ignore it and rush to get it down on paper before it slips away, even if another book I'm struggling through needs to be shelved for the moment. This sudden idea happened with my last two books 'Turning the tables on my Cheating Wife' and 'The Bad Neighbor 2'. I actually had both ideas come to me in a very short period of time, and I started and finished both books in less than four days! I had never even contemplated a sequel for The Bad Neighbor, but when the idea for it came to mind I couldn't ignore it.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've always had a creative mind, and been writing short stories ever since I was a kid. I used to think that I would need to submit a thick manuscript to a mainstream publisher and hope that it would get approved. Just the thought of doing all that work, paying whatever fees were involved and being rejected was enough to keep me from pursuing my dream. When I discovered (by accident two years ago) that I could self publish my writing, it felt like I had just been freed from prison. Now I write on my own terms, about what I want to write.
Erotica wasn't my first choice, to be sure, and I'm still working on several full length novels that deal with other topics. But the stories were easy to write and didn't require massive amounts of work to tell the story. Plus I've always had a twisted and perverted mind :) as you can tell from the stories I already released.
