The daughter of a Marine, I grew up in Twentynine Palms, California. After graduating from the University of Southern California, I taught history in two different high schools before marrying my own Marine and moving to Beaufort, South Carolina. My husband is now retired from the Corp. We have two kids in college and enjoy our empty nest in a small town near Charleston, South Carolina.
How do you approach cover design?
When I need a new cover, I give my designer a copy of the story to read, so that she can put together a cover that sets the scene. I like covers that are erotic but not raunchy. The cover should lure the reader into the book.
