The daughter of a Marine, I grew up in Twentynine Palms, California. After graduating from the University of Southern California, I taught history in two different high schools before marrying my own Marine and moving to Beaufort, South Carolina. My husband is now retired from the Corp. We have two kids in college and enjoy our empty nest in a small town near Charleston, South Carolina.
