Biography

The daughter of a Marine, Katie grew up in Twentynine Palms, California. After graduating from the University of Southern California, she taught history in two different high schools before marrying her own Marine and moving to Beaufort, South Carolina. She and her husband, who is now retired from the Corp, have two college-aged children and live a quiet life in a small town near Charleston, South Carolina.
