Kevin Sampsel

I was born in 1986 and grew up in East Tennessee. I always enjoyed the magic of utterly escaping into a story. I have found that writing my own fiction and poetry breeds a sort of free, ethereal feeling like none other. I have been fortunate enough to travel and see a bit of the world. It seems my wife and I are settling down in Norfolk, Virginia. My first book of poetry, Vibration and Swaying, was published in 2012. You can find other poems in various publications such as The Blue Hour Magazine, The Fredericksburg Literary Review and Oddball Magazine. I am currently working on a novel. My second book of poetry is forthcoming in 2015. The only thing I truly wish to accomplish with my work is to allow even one person to escape the way I have when reading so many of the authors that I cherish.
