I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. As a fan of the Leland Sisters books Betraying Season and Bewitching Season, I was pleased to have an opportunity to review another one of Marissa Doyle's works Charles Bewitched. This novella follows Persy's and Pen's little brother Charles, now sixteen years old, as he spends his summer break from school with Persy and her husband. As soon as he arrives at their estate, he finds Persy is missing. The hunt for her leads Charles into the fairy lands where he finds his sister is being forced to marry a fairy lord. Now it is up to him to find a way to reunite his sister with her real husband, and that's proving to be a difficult task. It was fun to catch up with the Lelands and jump back into their world. Charles has grown up a lot since we last saw him in the books about his sisters, but he still carries a youthful enthusiasm for learning more about his magic and the magic in the world around him. I love the way the author weaves in historical details that gives her pieces authenticity, but also how she puts her own magical spin on them. Charles Bewitched is a fun and fantastical read!
