We Shall be as Gods - 3rd Testament - Shadows of Me

Only managed to read five pages of this... I am usually pretty forgiving as far as grammar and syntax goes when I'm only spending $2.99, but THIS... This is like reading the assembly instructions for a piece of flat packed furniture or child's toy that has been translated into English from Taiwanese by an Indian.
I could not physically read any further, as my eyes had glazed over. Five pages was the absolute limit, and the point where I would have had no choice but to discard the instructions, and attempt the construction blindly. This was also the point where I decided the end product could not possibly be worth the trouble. No stars.
This started out a little awkwardly for me, as dialogue seemed clunky, but I think the author got over that awkwardness quite quickly, and it was all uphill from there.
What I love about all four books in this series are the characters- They're real, they screw up, they do the wrong thing for the right reason and the right thing for the wrong reason, and sometimes they are just plain WRONG.
I'm not going to ramble on here about plot, because-hey, you can just READ IT. You'll be glad you did.
Equal parts suspense, mad action, and the sort of humour that actually saw me snorting aloud- much to the disgust of the small dog evicted from my lap in confusion.
If this is your first attempt at a novel Dani, can't wait to see what happens when you really hit your peak.
