Biography
I was born in Hertfordshire, which is in the very heart of England, in 1951. I hated school and left aged 15, just before we won the world cup! My family tell me I’m a workaholic, which I hold my hands up to. However, a lot of my time has been taken up with my 6 children, who between them have provided me with 6 grandchildren – so far.
I retired from active work in 2012, after I’d recovered from a second bout of throat cancer and started writing. It’s the best therapy to cope with the demons and I’d recommend it to anybody suffering from a serious illness.
I’ve always been an avid reader (Any Sci-Fi, horror, Stephen king especially.), so after self-publishing a number of novellas in other genres, I thought it was time to start out on the road I intend to follow from now on – namely young adult, Sci-Fi, Fantasy.
I hope ‘The Ipe Chronicles’ will be read by all age groups and enjoyed from cover to cover.
