Steven & Margaret Larson
Biography:
After reading fantasy for many years, we took up the pen and began writing. The stories are children’s fantasy tales about travel and discovery. Not the trips advertised in a colorful adventure brochure. These journeys begin by stepping through a secret door into a gnome world, or using a magnifying glass to slip into a picture. Sometimes worlds merge together in mist, or time overlaps in the darkness of a cave.
In the sunlight, our modest home is not nearly as enchanting as the gnome house of our imagination. The maple and dogwoods in our yard do not have secret doors, at least none that we have discovered. Gnomes sitting in the grass amid the dandelions appear to be simple statuary. But when things are bathed in silky moonlight, when clouds gather and add texture to the sky, or at dusk and dawn when stars are like freckles on the heavens, it is then the shadows and light give delightful hints of things that inspire the imagination.
As any writer will tell you, a story is meant to be shared. We hope you enjoy our books. We post a new short writing on our website the first of every month, and you can also visit us at www.goodreads.com.
