Leigh Brannen loves animals. Though her animal family is smaller these days, she has provided a home to more than 19 dogs and a gazillion cats at a given time. She has even housed (outside) a few chickens and roosters. Currently, she is the human mom to Fred, a loving Yorkie; Meow Meow, the obnoxious inside fat cat; Mr. M, the outside protector that keeps dogs and opossums off the porch and has the battle scars to prove it; and many outside additions: Belly Boy (loves a good belly rub and rolls over for it), Pretty Girl (light yellow with florescent blue eyes; it took patience but she trusts her new family); Baby Kitty (blind in one eye; his mom was killed by a car and he needed special attention; he wouldn’t let anyone touch him for the longest time but now he caresses his new mom’s face softly with his paw); and Blackula (solid black kitten who thinks he is as tough as a panther and is willing to prove it to unsuspecting dogs). Several neighborhood animals (mostly cats) gather for loving from Leigh, and she thinks she might be The Cat Whisperer!
