Reading David Rucker’s work is pure delight. His plots are clear, satisfying, and interesting. Countless entertaining descriptions and observations of both nature and humankind maintain the reader’s interest because of their accuracy and the gentle touch he gives to them. But his work’s real charm lies in the trials and triumphs of his protagonists; these are tightly crafted, droll and extraordinarily satisfying. I recommend Rucker’s work both to grade school-aged children and all parents and grandparents who are fortunate enough to read to their offspring.
