I received this book on condition of providing a review. I did enjoy this book. I did think the characters could have been developed a bit more thoroughly, and hope that v.2 will do that. Genevieve is an orphan who has gone to live with her aunt in Haven, Alaska. She gets drawn into the strange mythology of the area, but is surprised that the locals, including her new best friend, Luna, take it all very seriously. She's even more shocked to discover that she is at the center of the myth, as the expected werewolf princess, born to save them all. Genevieve has two romantic interests: William, the hot, mysterious fellow newcomer to Haven, and Joseph, Luna's twin brother. This first volume of the series tells of how Genevieve learns the truth of her circumstances and starts to deal with and address what needs to be done. Underneath, she's still a sometimes bratty teen, who's mourning the loss of her mother in a catastrophic fire and leaning the unimaginable about herself. For those interested in paranormal fantasies about werewolves and vampires, I would would recommend this book.
